Gear Pattern Check

I'd like to get an opinion on my pattern. It's a tj rubicon dana 44.

BL is at 0.06 I think I'll try to increase it a bit by trying to add 0.025 to the driverside hoping to increase it to 8.

I think it has to go a tad deeper but this carrier doesn't use a lot of total shim from factory it had 0.253 so I'm already on the smallest shim I have on the passenger side 0.121 and currently have 0.133 in the Riverside. Pinion shim is a 0.0535 with oil baffle also installed but not counted.

The pinion is sitting too deep. Try removing about .005" of depth shims and set your B.L. back to .006. Everytime you make a pinion depth adjustment return the BL to the same .006. After you get the pinion depth correct, you can adjust the BL to change the pattern location heel/toe wise.

Edit, Also, when you take a pattern, run the ring gear back and forth against the pinion. It generally makes for a clearer pattern than turning the pinion.

Looking at your patterns again, you probably have to remove more than .005 of pinion depth shims. Maybe closer to .010. It's trial and error. Post your patterns.
