Can"t find reverse after being stored 15 years. 1981 cj5

Aloha

Pulled it out, ran through it, changed this and that, fixed this and that and took it for a test drive. Runs great!

However, I can't find reverse. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th are flawless.

Can push down on the shifter and it seems normal, but it won't go past the 3rd/4th line and pull down into reverse. It just goes into 4th.

Hoping this is something simple from sitting. Need to free up a stuck something or other.

Thoughts? Thanks!

After that may yearsitrare, but possible for a bit of surface rust to be sging it up inside. Wouldn't hurt to pop the cover and see ad once it's open you can tap that reverse gear ( carefully)with a wood dowel and get it moving. Wheels up on jack stands a good idea.

1981 would have had an SR-4 behind the 4 cyl and rev is over to the left and up, not to the right and down.
