I drove an NSX at one of the local autocross's (it belongs to one of my friends) and I have to say that those things are f'n crazy and I've riddin in a ZO6 with racing slicks at an autocross and the NSX was way faster I mean way faster it was so stiff it was badass the NSX was almost 2 sec faster than the ZO6 and the NSX had street tires

I'd also like to say that those NSX's are way smaller than you think

I autocrossed my NSX, and although I appreciate the kind words, it really depends on the driver. For a lesser driver, like myself, the NSX can be made to handle at 9/10's a lot easier than the C5 Z06. However, a very good driver should be able to make the C5 Z06 beat his times in the NSX. The C6 Z06 is no contest, it will destroy the NSX in all categories.

The NSX had often been called the easiest-to-drive supercar, and it is (although doesn't really qualify as a supercar anymore). But there are lots of other cars that will absolutely destroy it on a dragstrip or road course.

The NSX was the best-handling car I had ever owned until I got my C6. That was just ridiculous in all aspects, and I didn't even have a Z06.

As far as the Mustang/slow/LS1 comments...

I know that LS1's will rape my GT like no tomarrow stock for stock, and even with the mods I have now. I purposly didnt drive an LS1 powered F body for that reason. Even my buddies LT1 Z28 is a fair run from a dig, but from a roll he can kiss my taillights.

But I have some gripes about those cars that wouldnt lead me to be as satisfied as one for a daily driver.

1. Dont like the interior a whole lot, thats a personal thing.
2. Cant stand the 3 mile view over the dash and the decent down the hood.
3. I like wrenching on my own cars, if youve ever compared an LT/LS series F-body to a 5.0/4.6 Mustang the Stang is 10x easier to work on for average repairs and general matinence.
4. Weak rear end.

Thats pretty much it. Im jealous as hell about them having a T-56 right out of the box, they have a GREAT powerplant with endless naturally aspirated potential, great bang for the buck ratio, cheap to mod, tons of comments for them... but for me the Stang fits better. I dont care if its a little slower, it can still be a fast car with little work. Plenty of guys running intake/exhaust, tune, 4.10's and DR's running low 13's or high 12's. Thats quick to me, and my current goal... Plus a Mustang can take turns, har har har.

I agree about the 03/04 Cobra's. Probaly the smartest thing Ford has ever done. Id say even better things about the new GT-500 if the sticker shock wasnt a factor. The Mach 1's are great also. With the same mods as listed above you can have a nearly stock Mach in the mid 12's.

I'll give you 2, 3, and 4. I personally don't have one but my roommate does and I've helped him out a few times and they are a pain in the butt to work on, but also so are quite a few ford vehicles that I have been under the hood of including the Mustang. As far as the hood ohh well...there is a guy around here that has a 8" cowl hood on his and has to have a co-driver to drive around...kinda funny and cool at the same time but could get annoying. As far as the weak rear end...ohh yeah my roommate still has the 10-bolt and is scared to run his DR's on it when he races for fear of snapping so this summer the a nice D60 will be replacing it which should hold up to whatever he can throw at it. 03/04 Cobra's are better than f-bodies but thats it. They are easy to mod and I have a friend with one that went 11.38 with a 75 shot on it. Which is fast but he got beat by his buddies lightning that went 10.6...so you can make a brick fast.
