So got the rest of the door panels all taped off. At least the tedious parts.
Got cover other things before I spray them.

The bezel around the handle/door lock comes off the same way on the fronts. Just no screw.
Saw something I did not like on the passenger door panel. So having extra parts I swapped it out for a better one.

What is left of that door panel after taking that piece.

Someday I will get them sprayed.

Drove my wife’s Jeep about 500 miles round trip this weekend loaded with camping gear. Outside temp hit 94 on the way home but the XJ kept me nice and cool. Almost making me consider putting AC back in my silver XJ. Will probably never happen though...

This was loaded up for the trip home.

Around 125 feet of tubing at 2lb a foot so roughly 250. Probably 400 with sliders. The jeep weighs in at 4900 lbs.

How do you drive it with zero rear down travel? Looks like a Walmart speed bump might make it rub without ridiculous bump stops. I'm curious for my TJ.

Zero rear uptravel I think you mean?

Bumpstops fo sho. And when offroad the 40s are an excellent shock absorber.

So while hot today the humidity is on the low side.
Figured I would get the rear door panels painted.
I knew I would need more paint to do all 4 but figured lets see how the 2
come out before I spend money on more paint.
They look OK but will know better when I remove all the tape.
I tried to mask off carefully and make sure to get down in around the edges.
We shall see but I am going to let them sit for a few days first.
Couple of the clips need to be replaced on each one.
I keep these things in "stock" but it took me forever to remember where I put them.

Finally changed the oil thats been in there for the better half of 8 months and 7k plus miles, broke the hood release cable in the process also i guess my ac drain is clogged up as well cause I'm getting a steady drip on the pass side floorboard
Took my injectors out the other day and cleaned them out with some carb cleaner rigged up to connect to the injector (attached photo) while cycling them with a batt found 2 or 3 that was leaking but they went back to normal after the cleaning.

So IMO what Jeep should have done in the first place.
One homemade 2 tone Camel Limited Door Panel.

You really can't tell from the shot but it is not exactly the same color as my regular one.
Limited I painted on the left.

Also it will never shine quite lock the regular one.
But that is OK with me.
Maybe I should have hit it with some clearcoat.
One step closer to my Limited Clone interior. LOL.

Get the other rear one on today.
Still have to paint the fronts too.

Believe me I would really liked to have shared this on Saturday evening (but was having issues with the website - seems like it doesn't like my browser of choice; weird!) but finally fixed the ABS - well the light goes out now (& it's only taken 7 months so, at least it should get thru' inspection now)

Man this place is dying...

Got a new windshield in the XJ courtesy of insurance. Lost my tinted brow but gained glass without a thousand cracks and marred by years of radar and camera equipment being stuck to it.

From there it went down the street for a front end alignment, thus recentering the steering wheel and I pray, eliminating the horrifying death wobble.
