30 second run down. We went trail cutting at a new club property owned by a friend of mine. Every single trail was covered in wet mossy rocks and wet dirt. I have 5.38s and an ax15 with a rig weight around 5100 with me a passenger and a full tank of fuel. I spent alot of time around 4500-5200 rpms and I did something horrible to my bottom end in a 2nd gear rev limiter hill climb up a 6ft tall rock face with a muddy base.

$200 for the headliner and visors with them taking it out and putting it back in sounds good.

I paid $125 for my dome light headliner with me taking it out and bringing it to him.
I want to say I paid $200 for him to do the overhead console headliner, overhead console, and visors.
With me taking it out and separating all 4 pieces of the overhead console just giving him the piece he needed to recover.
Well, I went ahead and dropped off the headliner...good guy 40+ years in the business semi-retired, we talked for 2 hours.....I'll post pic's when I get in back in place.

Resurrected an old laptop either last year or the year before.
What I use in the driveway with more involved projects.
Hasn't been turned on since last year.
Pulled it out this morning to let it update. LOL.

I see .
I've had updates turned off since about this time last year . No regrets .
Half the updates always seemed to screw up my machine .
I run a basic version of W7 Home Premium . They quit support back in January .
Now my machine is consistently quick and reliable with none of the previous 'snags' .

What did you do to your XJ/MJ today?

Havenít checked in here in a while, but I worked on mine today. New exhaust. Went back to a tail pipe after running a side pipe for the last 9 months or so. Much quieter in the cabin and a deeper sound out the back. The Jeep itself needs some more work but itís good to turn wrenches again. Itís been a while.

Thanks. That stand gets a lot of use. Current axle in that picture there is a shaved HP60. Waiting on a warm day for final welding to I can better regulate the slow cool afterwards.

Decided to drive my '96 2-door today, its been running lean over 1/2 throttle lately so its been sitting. Apparently the battery has also gone bad, but after a jump it drove OK this morning so long as you kept you foot even remotely out of it. Over 1/2 throttle and the AFR leaned out of range for my AEM gauge (over 17 something). Connected Torque app on the way in to work this morning and the long term fuel trim is at 0. Its a stroker motor so I would figure the LTFT should be fairly high to compensate, certainly not dead 0. Short term was moving around with load and throttle OK, averaging 10-15% at 70MPH, 28%+ while accelerating. O2 response seemed good, timing appropriate, etc.

Wonder if the ECU has fried a circuit? Is that even a thing. I have a spare '01 ecu and the plugs are the same so maybe ill see if it runs on that later
This is the jeep I ordered a boostedtech supercharger for. If I am having ECU issues I may be encouraged to go full aftermarket for engine management. Not that my wallet is looking forward to more $$ spent on this project.

Where is the fuel pressure regulator (and filter for that matter) on this thing? This jeep is a bastard part-of-one-one-year-only thing it seems. It has the same fuel rail as my 01, does not have a return line and regulator on the rail like earlier models, but the fuel tank is like the earlier models with the old style front side of the tank pickup and metal lockring (not the newer top of tank plastic lock ring). ON the newer one the regulator is mushroom shaped on top of the pump assembly at the tank. I haven't pulled the pump out of this one, but there is nothing on the outside of the pump and not enough hoses going to it for a return line elsewhere, so I guess its in there...

The 2001 computer will be looking for more O2 sensors and has a completely different timing system. Although it may plug in, I would be surprised if it ran the Jeep. 1996.5 was the first year of OBDII and is a hard year to find those kinds of parts for because it wasn't even a full year run.
