I put my XJ adjustable on my TJ. They mount the same on later model (97-01) XJs.

Gotta replace the alternator brushes. Intermittent loss of power from the alternator while driving. Charges fine when first started. We'll see...

Possibly a loose belt. Once it's warmed up it's slipping.

Thanks for the suggestion. As it turned out, I went to the parts store and they did not have the brushes. They just stocked the replacement alternator. I figured the old one had 250K on it, so get a re-manufactured one. It's running well again. Just a touch under 14 on the gauge. Probably could tighten the the belt a little.

If it's not squealing when you rev the motor , it's likely good .

After trying to find a painted bumper end cap for my desert sand XJ and getting prices of $125-130 and $75 more to ship, I decided to have it professionally painted on Wednesday. This place painted my desert sand TJ flare and the color matched the 20 year old paint perfectly. Not even a shade off. $100 and a bottle of touch up paint for my one big scratch. Even the Mopar touch up paint isn't even a close match in color.

Gave it a bath yesterday (and it is raining today of course) just got home from the alignment shop and she drives sooooo much better. They said it was 3 degrees out of wack, now it feels like a completely different jeep. Currently contemplating regearing to 4.10s or 4.56s.

From what? On the TJ side, filling out your profile is rule #1 before ever posting.

Ok well in that case I'll just bounce. I redownload tap talk and it has my old password saved so we are like 3 jeeps behind the curve.
