Looking pretty is secondary. Notice how clean Ralph77's engine bay (and Jeep) is compared to yours?

p.s. Years ago, I asked someone with 318,000 original miles on their Jeep how they kept it lasting that long and no oil leaks. They told me that the mud kept all the seals intact and washing it might screw things up. They NEVER changed the transmission fluid either. They used it for mail and newspaper deliveries daily too, so those were hard miles.

p.p.s. Are you really running RC 2.2 shocks and a dual stabilizer without hydro assist?

I was. I need to update my modifications. I have bilstein shocks, one ton steering and no stabilizer. I still have the dual stabilizer if you want it cheap! Lol

First while the Jeep is in pretty good shape, especially for this area, it is not as clean as people seem to think.
Second since I don't have a life, hardly drive her, and am not thrashing around out there anymore it makes things easier. And she is the only vehicle I own.
Third is if it were 25 years ago when I still had a life and was still thrashing around out there she would not look anything like she does now. LOL.

Mine has pretty much been sitting for the past 2.5 years except for the occasional drive around town and the trails i run. I just did ball joints, c gussets, and shocks a little while ago. I haven't really driven it since because my alternator went out so I made the effort to replace it and the battery cables at the same time. I also replaced the muffler and tailpipe but it needs a little modification before i can really drive it. It is my daily driver again as of Monday so i really need to get on it.

I always compare thrashing around out there in your 4X4 and skiing together.
When I used to ski, when my knees could still take it, at the end of the day be in the lodge warming up and taking off my boots.
You do not walk to the car in your ski boots. Even though some people do. It wears on the toes and heels of the boots and this effects binding release.
Anyway I would hear people talking about how they skied all day and did not fall once. While I probably wiped out about 10 times.
And I was a very good. Point being it just means you were not trying hard enough.
Same with thrashing around out there. If you weren't breaking stuff just means you were not trying hard enough. LOL.

Cleaned it up and washed all the road salt off for now. I love how the Desert sand color doesn't show mud/dirt. My TJ is red.

well I might've jumped the gun on that winch.. finally got around to actually looking at it today and come to find out I believe the brake shaft assy is broke, if I supply pics can anyone confirm or deny my claims? My "buddy" I bought it off of took it came on his TJ when he bought it and he was replacing it with another, yada yada yada. When I picked it up it was in 4 different pieces (motor, gear assy, hub, and electronics) I went to put it together I cant find out how the motor attaches. Any help would be grateful.

I'll have more pictures later but I finished my manual swap and engine swap, rebuilt my hydro assist, and wheeled it. I'll post pictures later. Oh and it has new shoes that I enjoy.

"More pictures" insinuates that you posted some. Pics or it never happened.

Your shoes are bigger than Shaq's. I can't wait to see that pic. I hope they're still 4Ds.

That post was supposed to have had a picture. But I'm happy for having never driven stick offroad it does its job quite well. Now to go pull the front axle back out, redo all breather lines and put an interior into it again. Wheeling a metal box is quite loud. My seat also has decided it is done
