Would the inline fuse blow that is coming from the battery?
Would the relay just fry?
Would the Jeep burn to the ground? LOL.
Some or all of the above? MLOL
Poking around it appears just the relay will fail and there will be no output of power.
In this case to the headlights.
But I am just guessing cause there is all this tech speak that goes right over my head.
By 'amp rating of the components' , I mean parts , other than the wiring ( relay , inline fuse , etc ) .
In other words , the wiring should be the last thing to fry , unless a direct short gets involved . Hopefully , the in line fuse would go first , but , a poor quality relay could 'pop' before anything else blows .

With a relay being simply an electronically controlled switch, the critical component is the contacts. Water in relays is never a good thing and will degrade contacts as well as the control coil. Non-sealed relays should ideally be mounted vertically to best shed moisture. Bosch relays are generally accepted as reliable quality. Replace the moisture compromised relay with a name brand 30 amp and move on.

Finally changed out my speedo gear, after finding a new one on Ebay for $27 shipped. My 10.5 mpg (inaccurate reading) went up to 14.7 average. I could probably get 16 if I drove a little slower.

Bought new ice scrapers.
Gotta be 40 years ago my mom tells me she finds the best ice scraper ever.
Gets me one.
She was not kidding. Nothing compared.
Goes from car to car to car for over 20 years.
I lost it and kind of forgot about that style until about a week ago when one of the guys at work shows me his from about 40 years ago.
Sure enough I Google it and they are still around.
I just hope they are as good as I remember. LOL.

That's an idea.
I have all the regular glass from my Jeep that PO had tinted that turned purple.
Why I swapped all of it over to factory privacy glass.
Anyway figured I would get the tints off (see if I could get a couple bucks for them maybe) and use
the garbage bag/ammonia/dish soap/hot sun trick I read about.
Figure one of those will help it along.
The only thing I am leery about is the hatch glass with the rear defogger.
It does work and I would like to not peel off the defogger.

Been there, done that, years ago. I peeled it off slowly and used very little rubbing alcohol to clean things up and not screw up the defogger. It worked great on several vehicles.
