Mine is an early 2000ís Durango with a 5.9. It a total pain in the butt to get it installed in the Jeep though.

Alt installed. No grinding needed ? Was an alternator from O'Reillys so I don't know. Sorry no pics it's my dd and had to get it in and going. Did come with a printout showing amperage output. It said it did almost 160 amps. The shop I work in has a vat45 so I was gonna check it and see but havnt gotten around to it yet.

Built, painted, and installed a heim steering kit for someone today. Showed up with stock steering, tube and heims, left with this. With 8Ē of lift on this XJ, stock steering really wasnít cutting it anymore. Someday Iíll work on my own Jeep.

Dropped the 2wd transmission and started prepping for the new 4wd one.

Is there anything worth doing to a jy AW4? I've got a new converter and filter. Figure on doing the output seal as well.

But then he couldn't take it off road. I rarely see anyone in major competitions using a manual anymore. Autos creep over obstacles so much easier IMO (and most others).
p.s. My Rubi is a 5 speed.

I believe that's only cuz most people can't operate a clutch well enough.

Possibly just a short guy issue, but I have major issues operating the clutch and the gas properly while trying to tiptoe my way out of the window to watch tire placement. The auto makes that a hell of a lot simpler for me.
