Replaced the leaf spring shackles and changed the rear diff fluid with 85w140 and put a lubelocker on. Old shackles had blown out bushings and it's easier to just replace he shackles than press new bushings into the old ones.

Also replaced the CCV elbows and grommets in the valve cover. One of the previous owners used the wrong front elbow and used two of the small orifice elbows which is incorrect.

When I was doing my 4 hole injector upgrade I figured I would do my valve cover gasket. Since I was doing the valve cover gasket I figured I would replace the grommets and the CCV elbows. Trying to order the parts through Napa was a pain. I can't remember which one I was having the problem with. Pin hole one or wide open one. The pictures in the computer were correct just that every time I tried it came through as the other one.

Decided to be the guinea pig and purchase a remanufactured 2 door switch panel. For $23 vs the $100+ for a used one, I figured it would be worth it.

Here's the P/Ns I used at Napa. The front elbow according to the computer and the website was the wrong one but it was pretty obviously the correct one.

Front Elbow (No Orifice)- NOE 6301078 (website says this doesn't fit 95 XJs but it's the right one)
Rear Elbow (Small Orifice)- CRB 29574 (the picture on the NAPA website doesn't represent what you actually get)
Grommets- NOE 6301411

I was able to find the front elbow and grommets by putting the Dorman P/Ns even though those P/Ns did pop up on the NAPA site. I'm guessing that Dorman makes these parts for Napa and just puts a different card on the clear box. But my local NAPA had them all in stock and was a dollar cheaper than Autozone or ORileys

I think it was the CRB Line one that kept on coming through not matching the picture. Yes many parts are just rebranded Dorman parts. Don't quote me on this. Thinking all the NOE Line stuff is Dorman. The entire Help Wall is rebranded Dorman also. That is one thing about Napa. Many parts are just rebranded. Pretty sure that their waterpumps, radiator hoses, and belts (the good ones) are all Gates. Batteries are Deka. Fan clutches are Hayden. Radiators are Spectra. Shocks and struts are Monroe. Exhaust is Walker. I want to say that there pad and rotors are their own. Also front end parts. But just the NCP line ones. They have the cheaper PCC Line ones that I am not sure who makes those.

Ive had a similar panel installed for about 4-5 Months now and i already have to replace it. The drivers switch started having issues within the first couple months.

Pulled my front driveshaft to try to track down a vibration. Found the slip yoke had a little play so currently shopping for a new one. This did clear up a good bit of highway speed vibes removing it but not all of it

While inspecting my tcase leak which I think I've tracked down to the speedo sensor, I found the rear driveshaft slip yoke with play as well. I pulled the rear drive shaft and checked the output shaft for play and found none so I ordered up a new Dana/Spicer slip yoke for the rear drive shaft.

I dont have one to fix, I am slowly gathering parts to do the swap to power windows. Also $23 is really that much money?

I spent that much on a cb tuner I'll never use again! Having it all work in the end is priceless.

Any amount of money is too much if spent on a piece that won't last long .
And , it's not always the money that makes or breaks the deal . Time involved .
I like doing things once , or at least once every 3,4 or 5 years . Not every other month . Normal periodic maintenance is the exception.

I've had the window and lock switches not function on our Country .
I pulled them out and 'refurbished' them . That was 5 years ago and they are all still working as they should .
I've done the same on a couple different vehicles in the past , with like results .
