The XJ didnt like the cold front here in florida and had a hell of a time starting. Took her over to advanced auto and had the battery, alternator, and started tested and they all are working just fine. Ordered a bosch fuel filter and pretty soon will order the bosch fuel pump assembly since is the oem standard for the TJ when i did so I suspect its the same for the XJ. Also shes throwing some pretty codes for either the ECM or Ignition switch P1682 and P1281 which is the thermostat running too cold....always wondered why my temps never reached above 190 because there probably isnt one

I never thought I'd ever see those two words used in the same sentence.

Finished up the viper coil on the camper XJ and ran the break-in period of the new engine. New air filter and all that as well with the engine.

I used to could. 5 years with MALS-26 and 29 as a T64 Gas Turbine Mechanic, 5 years with VMGR-234 and 3 years with VMM-764, both those last units I was a Flight Equipment Tech and CDQAR.

Was also a range coach for most of that time and did a short stint as the unit SACO for 234. Now I do the fire fighter thing in the Dallas area.

Camp Pendelton has some beautiful terrain. Somewhere I have a pic of me a buddy and a softback HMMWV overlooking the "nuclear boobies". I mean it sucks walking anywhere in Pendelton but driving is awesome haha.

Replaced the slip yoke bushing and seal on the transfercase and swapped in the new old stock steering wheel........while also watching kids haha

My son is pulling out the headlight switch. Have a new one ordered, but we will try the solder trick and if that works I’ll cancel the part! Lol 😂

Finished up the aluminum replacement loom in place of the pos brittle plastic OE.
All rounded edges so nothing catches. Will fab up mounts to the manifold later.

Changed out my alternator today...

Surprisingly, it went right in....loosening the serpentine belt was the hardest part.

R/Red the header, drivers side motor mount and transmission mount. Passenger side mount is coming up so just waiting on a part.

Wound up having an exhaust leak right after restarting. Snugged up the lower center manifold bolts and it went away.
