Good documentation always helps . One of the reasons I love my wife .

We just had another great grand daughter a little over a month ago . Cute little kid and weeds have to work to keep up with her growth .

Started pulling the rear springs off. Having the typical issues of bolts that don’t want to come out. I have each end out 1/4” I sprayed them down with PB blaster. Tomorrow pick up a 6 point socket for better grip and give it a go again.

If they are really bad you may have to cut the eye of the spring apart to get the bolts out. Hopefully that isn't the case though.

Are they seized to the metal sleeve inside the bushing? Mine were and I had to cut them out. No amount of heat or pb blaster seemed to loosen them up. Hopefully you have better luck.

Might be easier to burn out or cut the bushings so that the sleeve could spin inside the eye of the leaf spring. Then you could carefully split the sleeve with a dremel cutting wheel and chisel or whatever when it's out from under the vehicle and easier to work on.

I may have to cut the eye, hope not but no biggie if I do, just more time. Iíve heard the rear was the worst so I started in that end. Hope the front will be easier.

My fronts were seized too, to the point it started to bend the bracket as I backed it out. I had to cut both but mine were very "OE" looking and it's an 89 so they were good and seized.

I did cut the eye off but it turned freely so that wasnít the issue. It was just rust on the bolt and binding up. It all came out just a lot of popping and a big cheater pipe.

The starter was replaced tonight and she fires up so nice now. The next project is going to be the hood pin mod because I?m so over fighting the hood release cable sticking. My only concern is how secure the pins are when it comes to theft, granted I doubt anyone wants to steal anything from the engine bay. Any suggestions on a good brand of pins?

Thumbs up New goodies arrived today.

Stabilizer and sway bar bushings arrived. Also swapped out the heater valve. The old one was looking knarly.
