I mean when we were young kids you learned how to work on your bicycle by tearing it apart and putting it back together. No pics, no threads, no videos. Just you, some of dads tools, and maybe a brother or other neighborhood kid - tinkering.

The existence of Youtube for me consists of looking for DIY videos. Even the simplest things I Google. Hey it is there so might as well use it. Oh and the product review ones too. Was thinking about buying this scanner. Was cheap, $35, but graphed live data. Not that I can determine what any of it means. Anyway so I find this product review video. The guy demonstrated it on an '00 Cherokee Sport. I mean what more could I ask for. So I bought it. Remember there was the friend who seemed to be a little better at it then the rest of us and his dad had a fair amount of tools.

So tried to take it easy today. Got the tow hooks in and put my fogs back on. Front is done. Put on my new rear bumper caps. So now all four match. Will probably have to take them off to put back on my mud flaps when I get them back from Line-X. Got the bottom of the driver's side seat POR 15'ed. So now I can figure out how I am going to put the passenger seat on it. That should be fun. Started messing with the rust on the power seat base. Did not POR 15 the tranny crossmember. After cleaning, degreasing, and rinsing it took awhile to dry so I did not metal prep it. Was just to lazy to drag out a compressor.

Rear steer is installed!

In all seriousness. Main Leaf bent. Obliterated a rear shock. Towed it for a mile or so thru trails like this. Lifted up the back end with a loader and straightened it out to load it on my trailer.

Damn... that really sucks. Did it push far enough forward to slam the driveshaft into the transfer case or is everything else ok?

No no lol the uniframes pretty gone it has a few holes.
It runs good, I can get what I paid for it in scrap and I need quite a few parts for my other xjs. So it's just getting picked apart and scrapped.

I think some of you guys have electric impacts .
I was wondering if any of you have the $25 12 volt unit from Harbor Freight ?
If so , is it any good ? I was thinking of buying one , but ...

From the looks of it it'd be for one emergency, like a fire extinguisher.

Rolled mine outside for the first time in a couple weeks yesterday. Only for a couple hours though. Needed to give the shop a good cleaning. Regearing the d30 on Wednesday. Then just gotta keep grinding and welding the stiffeners. About 1/3 done with that project. Then the drivetrain swap.

They have been rotating in and out pretty regularly lately. Always lots of work to do. Now that all the locals figured out I have a welder, my driveway is more like a revolving door.
