Super jealous of that. That's the setup I want. I'll be curious to hear how it goes. And I may text you for more pictures haha.

She likes the ZJ ?

I've thought about one for a DD , but the fact that I see so many of them for sale and a lot with supposed problems , turns me away . Is that just me being over cautious or do they have a list of known problems ???
I have not done any real research .

Almost looks like it might hold a spare wheel up .

Does the arm rest on the bumper or is it just how the pic was taken ?

Just how the picture turned out. There's a 3/16 gap in-between the bottom of the arm and surface of the bumper

She loves it. But it was owned by a wealthy older woman who'd passed it off to her son (he's as old as my dad, and well off also). It's had perfect maintenance and all quirks were dealership repaired. Bought it 4 years ago with 70k miles on it.
I would never buy another one unless it was the same scenario.

If you really want to know if it's just you bein cautious, go to the zj page and look at the pinned post"12 things to do if your zj stalls". I had a 97 for 2 years and in that time i put 2 or 3 computers in it and the one in it was trying to go out, the fuel pumps are prone to leaking, and don't get me started on the headlights.

Only 12 ? Sounds like my caution is for good reason . Maybe I'll stay away from ZJs .

Thanks for the responses , guys .

Sealed the deal on another XJ last night. Patriot blue and about as rust free as it gets here in New England. Pretty new RE 3.5" lift with a JKS adjustable track bar, set of 31's on aftermarket wheels with a full size spare in the trunk. Going to need an engine, but I have one. Picked up the whole thing for $750. Not bad for a mostly rust free Jeep with a good lift and tires. Now I just have to get my silver Jeep out of the garage so I can swap the engine in the blue one...

Another project ... Good thing you're retired and don't have anything better to do .

It will be my girlfriends daily. Swapping the motor should be pretty easy, just a day or two of work for that and she can start driving it. Weekend project. Then I can do the little stuff after it's on the road. Plan is to find another engine later and put her original Jeep back together so she can sell it and hopefully break even on her new vehicle with better parts. Engines are pretty cheap around here.
