Did the 4 hole injector upgrade. Went smooth until I realized that I cracked the fuel hard line. Ended up having to cut a section out and clamp in some hose. Total pain in the butt.

BUT it runs smooooooooooth now. Very happy with the end result. One of the stock injectors was cracked and they all had 210,xxx miles on them.

Thinking about grabbing plugs for the rig when I order the new fan shroud (all my searching cannot turn up a JY or part out unit with an intact shroud that hasn't already been stripped).

Anyone ever experiment with the bosch +2 plugs? They have a different tip setup that my old pickup seems to really like but I wasn't sure about the jeep:

I know, I know. Champion Coppers or bust, I've told plenty of people that. But conventional wisdom also says my 01 should like autolite platinums. Just thought I'd toss these out there and see.

Mention it in Charley's fuel mileage thread. Tons of talk about spark plugs over there recently.

Yeah I would definitely check out that thread. Lots of useful info being passed around. Just switched to a 205 thermostat and gapped my plugs to .040 because of those guys.

I check in on it periodically, anyway. I was subscribed for a long time but it gets into these occasional debate strings that I don't care about so I swapped over to just searching it up now and then for any nuggets of info I might like.

What do you think of the 205 degree thermostat? Used a couple ideas out of their playbook. Synthetic in the diffs being one of them. I tried to understand gapping the plugs bigger, Copper Tops @ .035, but was told unless you had done some uprgrading to the ignition system to leave it be. Sound right?

You've got the distributor setup, right? Pretty sure you don't have teh 00-01.

The distributor versions want AT LEAST a better ignition wire setup, with nice fresh parts for the rest if they're stock speck. The larger gap gives you the opportunity for a stronger spark but only if you can delivery enough juice to it.

The 00-01 are a little different. There's no real ignition wire run or anything, which is actually good since there's little to no line or connection loss but there's really nothing to improve, either. You'd have to experiment.

Ah, sorry I'm always mixing up which rig goes with which username.

Coil on plug is a good delivery system, you could always try it and see what happens. It's not as though champions or autolites are expensive if it doesn't work out.

the 205 I'm not trying for awhile, though. Need to get a feel for the new rad before i go HIGHER than stock in this state.
