I know a guy that had similar talents as you . He didn't attend art school for four years , but he did stick to his dream . He now has his own gallery and lives off his art . Offers some classes at times , too .

If you have a bit of a portfolio built up, you might try tossing samples on tumblr and imgur and all that **** and offering commissions. It's a rough market but i know people that do it and make a little money. May or may not ever pay rent but some cash to support your own projects until you can do something more real and getting paid for what you like has to be something, right?

Brought home more stuff. Qt of POR 15, gallon of Metal Prep, CRC Electronic Cleaner, some cutting oil, some of those GOJO Wipes (those are pretty good), 4 plastic spray bottles, and the right fitting for my air tools. Like an idiot bought females. The only reason I do not feel like a total idiot is because I did need one for the Fluid Film gun. Now to just get it in gear.

Question for everyone. The new to me Cherokee I just got I believe to be all stock with the exception of wear items. Was thinking of doing the 4 hole injector upgrade just wanted to make sure no one had done it to this earlier. So what do the stock injectors look like. I'm a Ford mechanic so I may have some of the 4 hole injectors just laying around at work lol.

This picture is factory vs 703, but the newer injectors should look the same with different connectors. hopefully it gives you an idea how to spot check.

Not mine, but a damned fine idea for surplus female ends.

That's great, I love hearing stories like that. Good to know people can still make it work.

Oh I've actually been there, done that... I've got a comic book series that's out in stores right now. Finished that up a year ago though. I'm taking a break from making money doing that. It can be real rough. If anyone wants drawings of their rigs, though, hit me up. That would be fun and different than what I'm used to!

So I went to Harbor Freight and bought this:

https://www.harborfreight.com/1-lite...gun-92857.html

https://www.harborfreight.com/5-lbs-...dia-60563.html

Now realize I don't have a clue and my compressor is not big to really sandblast anything. What I wanted to do is knock off any loose stuff inside the metal support for the factory running boards that I am putting on to use that Eastwood Internal Frame Coating inside. Figured I would clean, metal prep inside and out. POR 15'ing on the outside. Unfortunately can really get in there to do that. See the brake line in one of the pictures. That is my extension for my air gun. Was hoping the fitting was the same size as the sandblasting gun. But no. See if I could work something out with bigger brake line and/or a fitting but probably not today. Did try it out on a small section of the support though. Gotta say the ground glass and that gun are not bad. It did take me a second to figure out how far to screw the tube the media comes out of into the sandblasting gun. It is kind of picky about that. Couple shots to compare.

Looks better. Surprised it did so well with such a small compressor. Did it take long?

I did not do this with my Craftsmen:

https://www.craftsman.com/products/c...it-135-max-psi

I did it with my Porter and Cable:

https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...l?cm_vc=-10005

Once I figured out how far to screw the tube in the gun and had the media coming out properly 30 seconds maybe if that. Then I think the compressor kicked in. I only did that small section. Maybe 8 1/2"" long and 3" high at the biggest section.
