It was the one closest to the front of the engine. The elbow is still on there but it's seen better days. My girlfriend said the check engine light reset itself on her way to work the next day so its at least substantially better than it was before. I'll try just sliding the hose over the nipple though and see if I get a good fit. Hadn't thought of doing that. The hose doesn't seem like it has a ton of extra movement so I may have to source an elbow, shouldn't be a big deal though.

Best I can tell piece of hose in the appropriate size ,maybe 6", will work. Seems to on my '00. I would tell you what size I used but I pulled a piece of scrap out of our what is left of the roll pile that is less then a foot and can't sell at the auto parts store. Grabbed a couple pieces and found one that seemed tight. It's that middle one that gave me problems till I figured out what elbow would work.

On the AC front no joy. Lasted about a day. Going to go get the dye light put on in next week but unless it turns out to be something stupid AC gets put on the back burner. Maybe next year?

Not bailing wire, though I'm not above using that if needed. These clamps are .041" stainless tie-wire. I have a tool that clamps 'em down as tight as I need 'em. I could collapse the plastic nipple if I so desired.

Build thread post 205

I was in the process of writing a want ad looking for a Mac aluminum pressure bottle for the rig, while looking for a pic to attach to the post I discovered Mac had the DP version on sale.

So, in honor of S8NNG8, I pulled the trigger on this unit.

Probably the only aluminum DP that will my Jeep will ever have

I'm just tired of replacing the Chinese plastic tank & have no reason to switch to the open system as my closed system is working just fine. For ~$150+- counting shipping I wouldn't have, but this came in right about $114.

Nope, no racing. Just a Millwright, performing acts of "Millwright Magic".

I guess we really shouldn't test fate , too much . But , it was a lot of fun , living on the edge . Now , I'm happy just doing 55 .

Where would this country be without the magic of Millwrights ?
