That'd be your phone or something cuz I do everything here on my phone just fine.

Are you using the old Jeepforum specific app or Tapatalk?

The old app stopped being supported and has been losing functionality ever since the big buyout of forums. I still use it, but I have the same limitations as Devil15. If I want to make an unquoted post to a thread I have to quote someone and then delete the quoted text. Can't make a new thread unless I log on to the mobile site, either.

I use the good 'ol JF app/free Photobucket. But now that I think about it, I forgot I'm riding on a free membership. Could that be the difference?

Shouldn't be, I'm a full member as well.

You are both supporters of the site so I doubt that's the issue. I have been using tapatalk lately, but maybe I'll try the Jeepforum app out and see if it's working for me.

Replying to the thread on the JeepForum app just to see if it works. If you guys can see this I'm on a guess it did. First time opening it in a while but it seems to be working fine.

Yeah a huge number of the forums are owned by one company now. Tapatalk is their universal app. It's on play store and itunes

Put a started in my girlfriends XJ yesterday and found the Vacuum leak I could hear. Going to need to find a new elbow for one of the vacuum lines coming off the intake manifold, old one is pretty disintegrated.
Which one? One of the 3 on the side? One in front can be fixed with a piece of hose. Hard plastic line and the nipple on the manifold are the same size. Middle different story. Nipple and hard plastic line are 2 different sizes. Go buy this. Dorman 46022. Think it is for a Ford but you get a nice tight fit with it. Never messed with the back one.

So my guy got to my AC. Installed the manifold hose, I was having a leak where the schrader valve was (even after replacing the schrader valve) from when I tried to fix it myself, and his brandy new Snap On machine said there is still a leak. Put some dye in it and refrigerant, nice and cold for the time being, and maybe get lucky and see the leak after running the Jeep for about a week. Only things not replaced are the evap core and the condenser. Oh well, having AC is getting put on the back burner again.

Updated my build thread using the original app. Let me know if there are any errors.

I'm so fed up with my WJ. On the left is the fitting to attach to the rear. On the right is the fitting to hook up to the abs... and the right is considered a bubble flare.. can't find a proper tool for both sides.

Build Thread post 202

I've decided that power steering is an idea that might just catch on someday.

Finally got an opportunity to install the used power steering pump I bought off a local Jeep buy & sell FB page. I didn't realize until I started cleaning it up that it'd been on fire. Almost hesitated to install it, but the tank seemed intact in spite of the surface damage.

In the interests of making this unit last until I upgrade to hydro-boost steering, I added a return line filter to the system. This is NAPA's magnetic return line filter, has a Raybestos tag and is actually a rebadged MagnaFine. It uses a magnet to catch any ferrous particles as well as a 20 micron element. I didn't realize until after I had installed it that Raybestos had a problem a while back with Chinese knock-offs posing as genuine units. I'm hoping that seeing as how I bought this from NAPA that it's the real deal. If not, well it was under $20, so there is that...

There are probably not too many who recognize the clamping system...

Bolted everything in, poured in the new fluid, primed the pump by spinning the pulley by hand before reinstalling the belt, hoisted both wheels off the ground and turned the wheel lock to lock six or eight times with the engine off to work any bubbles out of the system.

Fired up, voila! One finger, 37s lock to lock while stationary! Hallelujah!
