Cyber security is actually part of my MOS so who knows!

I opted for the one that had the extra mandrels for future projects. The only real advantage I see with the Astro that you linked is they include a "starter" pack of nutserts.
The Starter pack of nutserts was a consideration. With the extra mandrel I could go 3/8"-16. Did notice the one you bought did more metric but I try to stick with SAE sizes whenever possible. Plus we sell SAE Grade 8 bolts at the auto parts store I work at. Makes it easy. But you own one, you seem to like it, and that is good enough for me. Now to pull the trigger. It is nice that Home Depot did start selling Class 10.9 stuff now though. Thanks for the input.

Get that bracket out of there & put your AC compressor back in! AC / OBA is one of the favorite mods I've done to date.

You're running large enough tires that you'll definitely benefit from being able to air back up after a hard day crawling speed-bumps in the local Sonic's parking lot.

Seriously, the AC compressor makes a terrific air compressor, with an air tank (my sliders & back bumper fill this need) I can run a 1/2" impact. Filling tires at an idle you can hear it kicking on & off which tells me it's making air faster than I can force it through a Schrader valve.

lol I normally would agree but I live 15 mins from walker valley orv park so I just drive home with the low pressure. And further trips it's on a trailer to I don't worry about that either. Love having two jeeps to drive!

Don't be afraid. I have a YJ and DirtyJeepGuy had one before he just sold it the other day. I don't post what I do to mine here, but you can count it as a Jeep at least.

Jkus are the closest thing to a the new xj imo. Not that I want one, well OK maybe in like 10-20 years when I can grab one cheap.

Well...they're damned near the only solid axle 4x4 left in the major manufacturers. Not sure that gets it "close" but I can't argue much with "closest".

Anyone that wants something small for offroad just buys a rzr or whatever these days as best I can tell, or sticks to building up used rigs like most of us.

I'm not sure about your area but more people here "build" new like the JKU then xjs, zjs, wjs..... I work for Binghamton parking facilities, I have one xj (mine lol) and about 20 jkus lifted and what not, heck there's even more "built" land rovers then xjs here.

I say it's the closest because of its solid axles and the fact it's a jeep, but not only that but it's a upgrade from a xj in every way I'd want a frame, better brakes, better axles, better ride, better flex...... Later down the road they will litter junkyard just like xjs do now. Everyone and their grandma has one.

There's the link to the pic if anyone sinterested.

If they offered the JK with a xj front clip id definitely jump on it not to mention if they gave it a diesel.

But anyways until that day comes where I actually can get one cheap **** em.

I might be at work but today on lunch I made some more battery cables, something about crimping with a sledge is satisfying.
