Finally got to the shorts and t-shirt weather here in Michigan. Woke up and started the jeep early for work.

Isn't that bathing suit weather up there? Here's the gratuitous snow pic....

I'd let the shovel have the day off and use a broom for that much snow.

It's still snowing...we ended up getting more of a sleet/snow mix along the coast, further inland got more snow with some parts getting around 8" or more. Now I know that's not a lot for some of you Jeepers but for us this is considered a big snow storm. It was insane at work Thursday night...had an older guy tell my boss he was "highly disappointed with Walmart for not being prepared for the snow" because we ran out of snow shovels earlier that day then he demanded the phone number to the CEO. Smh

I wouldn't sweat it. I've worked for Walmart and know how their ordering operates. They're not gonna send 200k shovels to one store just to make sure everybody gets one. It's amazing how stupid people can be. They act like Walmart is their mommy, and expect to be taken care of.

My boss just listened to him rant then asked him why did he wait until the night before the storm to get ready. Happens all the time...people wait until the last minute to get supplies then get mad at us for not having the stuff. Not my fault your stupid a** waited...smh Another factor that comes into what my particular store gets is the region we are in...we trend more beach items like chairs, boogie boards etc than snow shovels and sleds. I'm sure your local stores don't get very many beach chairs...

Our store stays seasonal, but we never sell out to a point of desperation...Everybody here already owns a shovel All too often, they can't even sell them all.
But the funny thing we see here is people trying to clear a foot of snow from 50+' of sidewalk with ice melt. They'll spend $100+ on ice melt just to save using a shovel.

No, it's folks who live in town. The city requires residents to shovel the city sidewalks in front of their homes or they get fined.

No, if you chose to live here, you take care of yourself.

Well it looks like we are getting the brunt of the snow now...it's coming down pretty hard and the winds have picked up. Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel is in town...you know it's a decent storm when he's around. Lol

As for the Xj...it turns out that the starting problem I've been having is a bad battery. I just put a new one in 2 years ago so this is aggravating...looks like I'm investing in a bigger battery this week. Now I know the subject of batteries has been beat to death but help educate me on this....I don't have any extra things like a winch or a light bar so I doubt a high end battery like the Red tops would be what I need. I'm looking to spend no more than $150...so let the suggestions begin.
