Just picked up a set of bushwacker wide fender flares. For $30. Few cracks I'll glue together and then paint them.

Higher chances of getting in a fatal car crash, than the plane failing. Just buy a ticket for him and help him find his.. Nvm. I joke I joke.

Everybody has been told this...but not everybody has survived to believe it. Some folks just don't trust their karma

Thoughts on these? Before I go thru the process of fixing cracks and painting them.

All I can really say is they're similar to my Napier ones that I'm quite fond of. They're thinner material than the Napiers, but if they're not dry rotted that may just mean they're a little flexier and thus more likely to bend rather than break or rip off. You'll have to baby them and not rub them on stuff if they've gone brittle, though. I'd try standing on one and see if it flexes a bit or cracks before punching a bunch of holes in my rig for them.

I had them on my old white 99 when I first got them. And sold them for $200. So for $30 and a little elbow grease I think it was fair lol.

Well **** why are you asking us then? You know all about them lol.

I do prefer the pocket flares to the flat ones, but at this point I'm not sure what you're looking for when you say "thoughts"

I'm not sure I want to have new holes put in my jeep. I have to order a new hardware kit ($12) but if I don't install them my gf wants them. I just couldn't pass them up for $30

Gotcha, that's really down to taste I guess. personally when I didn't have the wider flares I went side-blind from tire spray the moment I went through any puddle or mud so the holes were totally worth it. Coated my windows every time.

Any flare is going to require some drilling, but if you can deal with not having them then go ahead and let your girl have this set. It's not like you never come across a good deal or swap, and if she's sure she wants them then she/you will wind up shelling out for a set for her rig at some point, anyway. If you'd buy two sets, you'd buy two sets. The order they're installed doesn't really change your final outcome.

Well if by some weird chance she decides she doesn't like them, I would be very interested in them, I can never find deals like that.

My buddy had a garage full of parts. Got sick of them sitting. Told another buddy to bring his car hauler over and he can have them. Had semi rims, Liberty rims, 6.0 parts, 4.0 parts, these flares, Liberty bumpers & skids, WJ parts and such. Lol. I just happen to get lucky and see he had them.
