So like I need more interior parts. Out of a '99 Limited just purchased more Camel leather seats (front and rear), more Camel plastic interior parts, and another overhead console plus visors, wiring and bracket. $200. Of course now I have to go back and rip everything out. This cost me more then the last time I raided a Camel '99 Limited. That was a $150 for leather seats (front and rear), other interior plastic, the overhead plus headliner, visors, wiring, bracket, and cruise control. Now that I have extra headrests I am thinking about this:

Of course when I will actually do something will all these parts is anybodies guess.

So much for working on the jeep today. Went to move the 4.0 in the garage. And Apparantly pulled a muscle along my chest. 5 hours later finally getting out of the ER.

That would be fine. Just drill a new hole wherever you stop and put a small bolt through it.

Cut your way in, weld you way out. Gotta love when the PO cuts the bolts flush.

I was going to air chisel the old ones out but one of my roommates went to bed. It's a project for tomorrow. Two out of four bolts are done and ready to go. Two left and both are getting treatment with new nuts welded in. Was gone all weekend and couldn't work on it. Should be back together with a couple more hours of work. Then some cosmetic upgrades and tune up stuff before it goes on Craigslist.

Performed a bunch of general maintenance over the last few weekends:

R2 spark plugs
R2 heater hoses and upper & lower radiator hoses.
Flushed the cooling system out (to include back flushing the heater core).
R2 the radiator cap, and the thermostat.
R2 front and rear differential lube.
R2 rear driveshaft u-joints (still need to do the fronts).
Fixed driver's door window control so now all the windows and locks work from all doors.
Re-soldered a couple broken wires in the drivers door bundle so now I have all my speakers
R2 all front end steering parts - tie-rod ends, drag link & steering stabilizer (PO recently replaced ball joints - so those are good), and did a garage alignment (tracks great now!)
R2 the rear wiper switch - so now it works like it should.
R2 the rear hatch struts and rubber bumper stops.

Overall the XJ is in great shape, and it should provide me years of service!

Bro wtf you mean they won't fit? You have rustys flares which give way more room and you are geared to 4.88. Don't be a back in black.

What did you do to your XJ/MJ today?

Jeep started acting the *** today. Will not idle. Dies. May start up immediately may have to try a few times. Replaced IAC and now it idles at 1800-2000 and check engine light is on. Used duralast part number ac320. Currently have battery disconnected for a little while.

Any thoughts?

History of acting up: every once in a while the jeep will stumble out of the gates, give it a little gassed it takes off after about 2-3 seconds. Today it started doing this often then all of a sudden it died at idle. Then just about every time is went to idle it dies, backfiring and sputtering. It will start backup, usually right away but some times it takes a few tries and about 30-45 seconds.

Follow up: drive it around the block. Runs great except for the high idle. When in gear it idles at 900-1000. Also when I compared the 2 parts the new one was a good bit shorter than the old one?
