If you look close you can see that the front end has independent suspension .
You don't see a pumpkin because there isn't one .

I think it was likely custom built , but ???

Why is it that ALMOST everyone on CL that is selling their "factory takeoff's" are trying to get their money back for the rims they just bought! For almost the same amount of money I could just go to discount tire and get new rims in any size/bolt pattern I wanted...:breath:... Plus the fact I would still have to buy tires in most cases!

Just bought a huge lot of factory fog light, defrost, and rear wiper switches. I'm happy, seller's happy, now I just need to start a rumor on CF that they're $200 a piece and I'll be golden!

Well the EXT IDLE switches are $300*. These are slightly more common so they're only $200.

*According to CF. On eBay, they actually go for between $25 and $100.

So your new stock is all factory packaged ?

It should be worth ' a lot ' more that way .

Took 5 of us to lift a 4.0 in the back of a cummins. Hoist aren't built to lift motors in a vehicle on 10" and 40's lol

I scoff at your notion of "new old stock in original packaging" affecting value in any way!

BTW this whole $200 for fog switches is a joke. They're like $5 at the JY and $25-40 on eBay. Not sure if the sarcasm was coming through

Your's was , but maybe mine wasn't .

I use to be a parts guy . I'd joke with customers that the dust cost extra .

Funny you should mention that. I was wondering about the increase in posting for the factory takeoffs all of a sudden on CL.

I work in an auto parts store but we tell them that we won't charge them extra for the dust.

Came home with the TUPY head off the '03 WJ today. Thinking the pushrods might be mixed up. He had them laid but told me which order they go in but seemed a little unclear as to which end was which. Not that it matters. If rebuild-able all that would be replaced anyway. Looks like one of the pistons in the engine was chipped. Explain why the Jeep was junked. Maybe I will get lucky and I do not own a $50 door stop. Figure get it cleaned up, WD 40 it down, wrap it in plastic for the time being. Someday get it checked out to see if it can be rebuilt. How do they check to see if it is in good enough shape to be rebuilt anyway?

A good shop uses magnafluxing for iron heads, it hits it with a magnetic field and looks for anomalies in the resulting field. Kinda like a cat scan for ferrous materials.

That's a gross oversimplification but it should give you the general idea and I don't feel like typing it all out on a smart phone.
