Yep. Gonna pick some up today. Very glad it was the bracket and not the blend door, I really don't have two days to fix that.

So I'm thinking XJ's are starting to be the next big thing, prices are getting stupid, thinking about picking a couple up and putting some money into them, a grand or so into them and flipping, what do you all think.

TJ's have been prohibitively expensive for a lot of guys for years, YJ's are getting pretty damn hard to find and XJ's have been bought and beat to the point that they're getting rarer.

If you want an offroader, not a mud truck but a small-wheelbase rig for tight trails, XJ's are cheaper than new 4-wheelers a lot of the time. Especially for guys without the space for a whole slew of vehicles that need to DD their rig. So yeah....they've been getting more popular and less cheap over the last few years even on top of the general hike in used car prices over the last decade or so.

Yea, I missed the whole YJ thing cause I hated them so, now they're starting to pop up for damn near what you could buy them for new in the 80's.
TJ's have just been strong since day 1.

No ****. I love my XJ, but if a TJ had been in my college student budget I'd be in one.

Ya, it's too bad the JK had to come along and ruin it.

Made it worse, throw on a lift, some tires, some lights, never take it off road, put a for sale sign for 60G in it at the mall and easily sell it to another crawler (mall crawler that is)

"Worse" is kind of subjective. Fact is most of us wheelers/builders were buying used jeeps anyway. The new ones were all selling to mall crawlers. If you can sell a mallcrawler a jeep for 60k why in the hell would you sell one for 30?
