Same here on my 01, no problem. Overheated 8 times already, no crack head, still going 170K.... Overheat issue is gone, redid everything...

I'm getting myself a Clearwater head for Christmas, but I'd still buy the same jeep again.

$450 shipped off of eBay. Reman on a junkyard TUPY would be close to that and I haven't tracked down one complaint about the Clearwater head so I'm just gonna go for it. I'm starting my overtime next week, lol.

Well after flipping my YJ in an accident, I've moved over to the dark side. Just picked up my first XJ. Let the build begin. She's a 99 sport automatic (my first non manual jeep boo) 204k on the body but a nice fresh motor. Mechanically she's great, exterior is clean, just a few interior things that need fixing. Here are some pics of my YJ and then the new XJ

Plans are to obviously lift it, put the 33"s from my YJ on, bed line from the molding down to the rockers, steel front bumper, rear tire carrier, smoked lighting, black out the grille. That's to get me started, then we'll see where the addiction takes me.

Installed my second set of hatch struts.

Maybe these will last a little better than the Monroe's I installed last year. One of the Monroe's was completely blown and the other was leaking.

Only complaint so far with the new struts, the Amazon listing says "jMade in The USAt" (yes the additional characters are there). Which I took to mean they struts would be a US product. Logical assumption, right?

Wrong. These are not only made in China, they ship from there as well! I've been propping my hatch up with a piece of PVC pipe for weeks waiting for these to arrive.

I may have to question Amazon about the alleged honesty of their affiliated seller.

You do realize that those crafty little buggers made a city over there where they manufacture a ton of stuff called USA, China. So that way they can put on their stuff made in USA

As someone already said, you can hit the junkyard or fab up your own. You can also buy them online if you search around. It should be mopar part # 55003285-AB. Here are a few links:
