Don't let the 0331 naysayers get you. I've used the hell out of my 01's without a problem.

Nope. The dome is harder necause it's a 44mm rigid festoon and all thr LED options I've found would fire forward in that location, not down into the cab. I'm planning to jury rig something with led panels and a little soldering.

The map lights are a wedge base, looks to me like the same size wedge as a 194 but a bigger bulb

If it's made it 183,000 without over hearing and cracking then you're probably good.

These are the ones I use for the map lights (and also the auto trans and transfer case shifter lights). They're listed as either 194s or 168s. The ones I got were great for the shifter lights, but due to the design they're not optimal for the map lights. These would probably do much better for the map lights.

As far as the dome lights, they really do look like crap when compared to the blindingly white light now coming from my footwells. I've seen a guy wire up a 12v LED Panel inside his dome light and that seemed to work really well. I've got an overhead console sitting in the garage so I'm waiting on that.

Also, be aware that LEDs have polarity while regular bulbs do not. It's not a problem with the bayonet base bulbs (like the footwell lights) but you've only got a 50/50 shot at being right with the others. If they dont work, flip them around.

Same. The first 0331 head on my Jeep made it 274k miles and this one has 195k miles on it now. Just keep the radiator full and you'll be fine.

This makes me feel better about the idea. The gallon raptor kit is sitting in my dining room waiting for me to have a weekend to do it right now. Any tips?

Can we get a pic of it? I have the inside of mine done with raptor. But idk about the underside. It's definitely tough enough, it doesn't chip as easy as monsterliner.
