Hey tock, yours is a 96, so the computer will work. So I think you could do it.

Correct, no money, no red Jeep. But the guy still has it, so I am always open if things change.

Drove her to and from school, filled her up with gas before leaving the area by school, and now she gets to rest.

Speakers came in on a big brown truck...put them in. Still don't have the bass I like (I have 6 x 9's and 4 x 6's in my car and they have nice bass) so I am either going to get a sub or retrofit 6 x 9's in the rear. 80 dollars for 6 x 9's or whatever a small amp and a 8 inch sub and encloser will cost. What should I do? Sub ro 6 x 9's?

BTW, left front speaker still doesn't work but didn't have time to mess with it. Work on it Friday, also thinking about swapping radio inmy car to XJ since it has ipod cable.

ughhh!

The shop didn't remove the sway bar bolts, just the link...

eh, I reckon I can just cut off the threaded part, and then drill out the bolt to put my clevis pin in.

still pretty gay that I paid for them to do that.

eh oh well they let me check it out before I left and I said it was fine since I didn't notice they left the bolt in.

so its my fault.

The hinge is home built.

I used 3/4" rod from McMaster Carr, and regular $3 bearings, two on bottom and one on top for extra support.

The latch also from McMaster.

Took it for a freeway drive and it shakes a little, but nothing more then 1/4 - 1/2". I might add one more triangle brace to the tire mount.

That, or go get a gear puller and pop those bolts out. That's how I did it.
Edit: just went back and read your other posts. Was it a 5 ton puller?

On topic:
Painted my new steering.

It was a gear puller. I told him to get but he could never get it to work.. Not sure what his problem was, lol.

On topic.. figured out how to remove the cup thingy that would hold an ashtray if you had one. And I found a key from a PO under it.

Now I just need to walk around and try it in every door I find..

It was a 2 or 3 gear jaw puller.

Not posi, maybe that was my problem?

But I couldn't get it to come out it just kept slipping off.

parked next to a cherokee briarwood with the wood sides at CVS. Phone battery was dead so no pics but it was green and looked to be restored. I couldn't find a scratch on it and the wood panels were in perfect shape.

I think i've only seen like 3 briarwood XJs in my life but this one looked like it just rolled off the line. I wanted to wait for the owner to come out and talk to them about it but I was on my way back to campus because I had class.

Gahh I want them! Where did you find those! I've wanted tweeters for my XJ for soooo long.

Oh by the way, welcome to the OHC club. My next suggestion for an easy mod would be to pull an autodim mirror from a similar vehicle. I took mine out of a dodge dakota. And then you can splice it right into the OHC harness and voila, autodim mirror.

Check out my OHC and autodim (I took pics of my jeep today for cardomain)
