Transmission mount and hitch receiver came in mail today. Removed rear bumper for hitch install and put in trans mount. Hitch tomorrow then cut and fold rear quarters. Hopefully locker will be here by weeks end.

Thanks I do have some minor gripes. It is really really really prone to vibration. Not death wobble but vibration from hitting bumps on the road with unbalanced swampers

Cute on my setup I'm maxing out my 10 inch travel shocks stupid easy with 6 down. I am about to throw in some 12s by raising my upper mount and lowering my lower mount to the control arm. On short arms.

I forgot to measure it once we had it back together to see what my actual droop is but I have 12" travel shocks, so I am pushing somewhere close to 8" until it binds, if it didn't bind I'd max out the shock easily.

Previous Owner had installed factory tow hooks and front skid.

Yesterday I discovered that the tow hooks are held in with one bolt each, and the front skid is held in with one bolt on each side. All of them wiggle with just a little force.

Good news is that im getting a new front bumper this weekend that has recovery points on it so I don't need the hooks. On my 99 I had installed the factory skid and remember using nutcerts... I think I still have some of those somewhere...

See I set mine up so it won't bind till well past my shock.

How? As far as I was looking at it yesterday, there is no way on mine for it to not droop to the point where it hits the control arms. Then again I have IRO arms so I dunno. I'm also set up to be a few inches tall then you, putting the front end geometry even closer to being maxed out.

You can cut away at the area that hits without moving the shock mounts.

But yea the height difference plays a factor. Your ride height is already close to full droop abilities of short arms without clearancing the mount for LCA throw.

You got it bud. But control arm drops are helpful

Checked fluid levels after Evans creek and when I took off the radiator cap the interior is full of a red clay like substance?? Tried flushing it but hardly any water come out of the top of the radiator. A slow trickle where as usually when i do a coolant flush the water comes out very rapidly. 2000xj replaced radiator, hoses and water pump last fall.

My poor XJ has been neglected lately. Been busy with work. Its sitting there full of parts that need to go on lol

Did manage to steal my moms '14 Grand Cherokee and take it to a wedding in Pittsburgh this weekend. Drove it like 1200 miles... would love to have one as a DD so smooth and the MPG was shocking!! I had the cruise locked at 75!

I had bought some new speakers to put in my wifes ZJ, but damned if I didn't buy the wrong size...so they went in the XJ to finally get rid of the stock paper-coned Jensens in the doors.
