I'm putting a rebuilt motor in it and building the old motor into a stroker over time. Ive been battling the stock engine for about a month with the head gasket not sealing, so im going to pull it and have it all re-machined and slowly build it back up.

Did you seal your tank with anything after you used the stuff? I kinda feel like you would have to in order to stop it from rusting further. I guy i know said his friend could get me a plastic tank for 100 bucks. I really didnt want to do this because the bike only has 230 on it and in mint condition. He also said it cost 200-300 to cream the tank. That seemed outrageous to me considering you can buy a kit for like 35 dollars from eastwood.
I did not seal the tank after the oxalic acid treatment .

Once you have it thoroughly rinsed and dried inside , you can just keep it filled . You could use a sealer if you feel better about it . If you do seal it , I recommend Red Kote ( http://damonq.com/red-kote.html )

Or , my preferred , Caswell Epoxy Gas Tank Sealer ( http://www.caswellplating.com/restor...FS9p7AodGGQAUQ )

Note that the Caswell is Effective Against Ethanol Fuels‎ .

I highly recommend installing a paper in line fuel filter , good to at least 60 micron , prior to filling the tank after any treatment .

Hope this helps .

Sounds fun. I could use a stroker. My 4.0 is so damn slow

Not a fan of stickers on the body panels really. And I don't exactly have any useable glass to put a 2' sticker on.

Besides, while wheeling the roof is constantly visible

Agreed I don't like stickers on body panels, glass only and the sticker has to be just right lol

I took it wheeling today with a friend. Couldn't do much because the sand pit was destroyed from last weekend. Then took it to "get rid of" some aluminum fencing for a family friend lol. Also found out that starting probably next week i will be doing some hvac with my dad to help out one of his friends. With the storm he is swamped with work and cant keep up. Sooo that means alot more MJ money! Big things gon' happen!
