Ignition relays went out. Since I don't have the time to replace the ignition switch, my uncle and I came up with a rather creative solution (at least, we like to think it's creative). We ran a wire from the battery through the firewall so a switch in the cabin, and from there into the fuse box. When the switch is on, it back powers to the ignition relays and returns power to wipers, blower motor, turn signals, and most importantly, the radio.

Yes, I used electrical tape to tape it to the steering column. I've just gotta make sure that I don't forget to turn the switch off or I'll probably have a dead battery by morning....

That little wire feeds your entire fuse box?
Maybe try not to use too many electricals at once until you get a good fix in place.

Oh no, it only feeds turn signals, wipers, washers, radio, and blower motor.

I'm redoing a lot of things to my xj this summer and my 8.25 is the 27 spline with 4.56 gears on 33s. I want to go 35-37s with a rear locker and found this 8.8 for 160 and couldn't pass that up, only thing missing was parking break everything else was in good condition. Also disk breaks and cost of parts where huge factors.

The red one is just a regular battery. The yellow top is a deep cycle version.
