Got an alignment done after installing my Rugged Ridge crossover steering. It doesnt do as bad as everyone says it does at all. Its just something to get used to.

Ouch. It's only like a $40 part and takes 5 minutes to replace. I'd go back and ask why it cost so much.

Yeah that looks like a typical "bro-truck". We have a few of those around here. Usually have those ugly trucknutz things too. I asked this one kid if he took his "bro-truck" wheeling (it had like 37s on it with chrome rimzzz). He had no idea what I meant. I looked under it and saw it was 2wd.

Wont have the new one until thursday.
Interesting how the crushed part is right where the "inspected" sticker is. That sucks though.

The ignition coil on a 2000 and 2001 is different then a 1999. The '00 and '01's use the coil pack ignition and no distributor. The part alone is like $100. Thats the cheapest I could find around here. At the dealer they probably use those gold plated ones that are worth $5,000,000. It still shouldn't cost that much even at a shop.

OP: Where are you located in MA? I could probably help you with future fixes.

Clearly from the looks of things, I need to just break a couple of nails and figure how to do some of this **** myself!

Next time I will just ask for them to forget the gold plated ones and ask for the diamond encrusted series... way more bling bling . I just looked at the receipt and it says the part was $250 and then labor. Clearly I'm a suckahhh!

Alsom I'm all over the place, both in western ma (weekends and summers) and then right outside of Boston the rest of the time

Oh, right, forgot about the whole coil pack thing. Chrysler made some strange design changes those last two years. Still, for the extra money involved on top of the part you'd think they would had to have pulled the whole engine to install it.

haha they probably did. Then put it back in and forgot some bolts so had to pull it back out. I stopped bringing mine to shops when I realized fixing it myself means it will probably get done faster and I won't have to bring it back (since I am anal about everything).
