Looks good, but looks like you need to adjust out your LCAs, to push your front axle forward to where it should be.

Looks pretty good. What's up with the mounts for the roof rack?

Well, it wasn't today, but over the past month I have:
-gotten a cat. converter installed (I can't weld)
-ordered the spare tire
-halfway fixed the e-brake (it stops from rolling foward, still rolls backward though.)
-fixed the dash lights
-removed homemade snorkel and patched the hole in the hood
-replaced coolant pressure bottle
-painted over most of the orange a-teamish stripe
-put all the extra fluids and tools i had rolling around in the back into a trunk i strapped down back there
-got it inspected and registered
-figured out the reason why the dome lights and ac blower wont work. (the fuse block is burnt out inside the contact point for the fuse)

Hah welllll, the roof rack is from a Japaneses company - I bought it off a buddy who had just gotten back from a rotation there.

It was originally made for a Japanese 4x4 van-type thing, but fit perfectly on my XJ, and is just massive, and really lightweight.

So in short, I have no idea what's up with the mounts - they clamp onto the underside of the gutter racks on the side, and work fine!

They're really tall... I figured you wanted room for surfboards or something under the rack, leaving plenty of space for your gear up top.

I really like the basket, though, do you know if it's available here?

Now I must hurry on... for there they go, and I am their leader...!

Nahhh just came with the rack-it's got one lower setting, but then looks like it's sagging or something weird. Overall, I'm happy with it - and I haven't seen another one in person yet

paint chips / scratches

I tried to fix some small rusted scratches, paint chips.
I tried to lightly wet sand the spots / scratches w/ 360, then applied Rust Reformer with a Q-tip yesterday, then used touch up paint (small bottle w/ brush).

Didn't work well.

What's the best diy path on this?
