Trying to identify a Jeep

Yesterday I was pulling into Buc-ees in the Baytown Tx area. As I was driving in I noticed a vehicle, looked like a 4 door Cherokee, but seemed a little bigger. It was lifted slightly and had larger tires with a roof rack. As it went by me I saw the Jeep spelled out on the rear and it looked factory. The thing that got me though was it was not a angled rear section, it was perfectly flat, flatter than a Mercedes G class and kind of square like it to but a much larger vehicle. I didn't see a license plate on it, and really didn't look because of the strange looking rear end being so square. But from the side yes it did look like a Cherokee.

Anyone know what this could have been, maybe a South American model, it also looked fairly newish and in good shape.

Thank You

By letter connotation it is known as the XK. It actually was the undeclared redesign of the original Cherokee XJ.
