Dirty Betty II: The story continues..

Story:

Well everyone I really couldnt stay away this time, after building up the other XJ for my dad I had to sell my JKU and buy another XJ. After 3 months of nobody wanting to buy my JK, I ended up selling it to a dealership for a terribly low price. However, I did pick up a very nice 99 XJ for damn good deal. Let the blood, sweat, and tears begin. I got a feelin this XJ is gonna be a hell of ride. I'm going to try and keep this build organized with links to certain pages or turning points as the build continues! stay tuned!

Specs:
99 XJ Classic
4.0
AW4
NP231
D30
C8.25
LHD
Factory Tow
Factory Tranny cooler
Power Options (not seats)

Plans:
IRO 5.5" Long Arm DONE
35's
Lockers
Dirtbound Front/rear bumpers
E-fan set up
Gears (4.10 or 4.56)
Exhaust DONE
Headers
50" LED bar Done
Rock Lights
OBA set up
WJ Seat Conversion
OTK Steering (probably IRO)
Overhead console
Overland rear storage area
Rocksliders

Dreams:

Basically make this XJ everything my first one wasnt (RIP: Dirty Betty)

now for the first real post:

I bought this XJ on a friday and literally paid the guy, came home, packed it down, and set off for its maiden camping/wheeling trip.
The current set up is mostly stock with a Rubicon Express 2" BB lift (spacers and a block eww gross) and 265/75/R15 AT tires.
I was very impressed with the capability and even hit some stuff that JK's bypassed LOL!

Here's the pics!

Can I make a suggestion
3.5 and 35s or 4.5 with them. You will love the stability and not have issues with as rough of a ride. Jk rear uppers work for a nice lower control along with iro uppers and you'll be sitting similar to Vegas.

97 XJ on 4Ds.

ive been looking at many options but for the price and everything I'm really leaning towards the 5.5" kit. its the most complete kit on the market for the money and im not really worried about a rough ride.

build a lot of what?

my other XJ (link in sig) I pretty much pieced together all of the lift parts and it was just a pain in the ***. yeah I could cut corners and do this and then that but id rather buy the lift complete, get rid of 100% of the old rusty worn out suspension and start fresh with all new parts. there are many ways to reach the same goal but after 8 jeeps and this being my 3rd XJ, ive just kinda felt this is the route I wanna go..

On another note, I CAN NOT find a set of freaking TJ Moabs for under 500 dollars a set.. like holy crap..

I was thinking 4.56. I had 4.88 in my JK w/ 35's and i didnt like how it was on the highway. I wanna drop down my RPM's a little..
