Need help guys I just bought a 89 pioneer with 31k inside a barn been sitting for years
Few rust spots and exhaust leak nothing bad I was able to drive home with new battery and some cleaning
Should I keep it original or go ahead and start building

31k on an 89 is a rarity nowadays. Got any pictures?

Never seen a 'manche that came with bucket seats. From the looks of the outside I'd say those 30k miles were some rough ones.

Looks like she's spent some time in the sun, but actually in really good shape for an 89 and surely spent some years not in the rustbelt. Yup, she's begging for a paint job, but still looks pretty sound. Got any pics under the hood and in the bed?

Getting back to your original question, the first answer has to come from you. What characteristics do you want that will accommodate the reasons you bought it?

By front end conversion do you mean making it 4wd? Imo it’s not worth a whole lot as a 2wd despite the low miles. I say just clean it up and sell it.

Enjoy it, you'll not regret and will meet cool new people everywhere you go.

Well you guy right been 2wd will not be to valuable to keep it original so I start with a lift and 33s on it I use parts that I have left from other projects looks like I ended around 5.75 back and 6.25 front looking better now abe60cc1-cfdc-4b75-9e9a-872cef2abc67_1552944925644.jpg
