Strong Chemical Smell from dealership

I bought my 2014 Sahara at the end of July. The Jeep smells like air freshener on steroids. I'm going to try spraying the seats and carpet with vodka (not my fancy Costco Vodka), leave it out in the sun and see if that helps.

Step 2, if I need it, is to use an ozone generator I have for hunting clothes.

check under the carpets. see if had water issues. Jk are known to leak at the tops. when that happens they can get a moldy smell. I wonder if the dealer just drowned it in perfume. Just a thought.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check the carpets.
The vodka didn't seem to help (who'da thunk you can't believe everything you read on the interwebs?)

Took the hard top off for to see if sunlight will help

Probably won't get around to the ozone treatment until the top goes back on in late fall

Take it back to dealership and tell them to fix it? De-smell-ifie.

Get out and explore.

Febreze eliminates odors and doesn't just cover them up.
p.s. Reading this makes me glad I was born with Congenital anosmia.
