Silly soft top question

Hi Everyone!

I have a 2002 TJ with hard top. Started looking for a soft top & I thought its as simple as ordering one online. But! I am seeing too many options and extra parts that I might need. So posting here!

Mine is a pure hardtop and does not have any accessories or hardware. I saw full soft tops with the bars and hardware all all for 800$ online. I dont want to spend that much on a soft top. I see frameless options out there too. Even if i get a frameless what all hardware should I get with it? And what are some good frameless brands? trying to spend under 400$

I just installed a Softopper frameless top on my daughter's 97 TJ. Very high quality and an easy install. The kit comes complete with no other hardware to purchase - it included the windshield header and door surrounds.

I'll second the Softopper. I've been running mine for a bunch of years (almost 6), still fits nice and tight.

I'll throw out a third option that'll come in well under your spending limit, run a bikini top.
