Rough price idea for my rotted out TJ?

Hi,

Edit: I think I posted this to the wrong forum...sorry. :/

My 1998 TJ finally rusted out. The whole driver's-side frame is not salvageable, and the worst spot was at the back where the rear axle linkage connects to the mount welded to the frame. Today it tore off completely. There is tons of Titanic-grade rust to everything frame-related in the rear. Only a small part of the upper half of the rectangular tube-steel is intact, and that's all that's keeping the whole Jeep from snapping in half in my driveway.

- 130k miles
- Engine runs well
- Transmission is fine
- Transfer case is fine
- Axles (stock) are fine
- A/C system fine
- P/S fine
- Hard top with a few small scuffs
- Glass is in good shape, no damage
- New alternator (1 year old)
- New radiator (1 year old)
- New stainless muffler (1 year old)
- New catalytic converter (1 year old)

Can anyone give me a rough idea of what this is worth? I'm in NJ. I know the frame just about zeros out a Jeeps value, but there are still a lot of good parts.

Thanks!

If you part it out, about two thousand or so. If you want somebody to remove the carcass in one fell swoop, about half that.

scrap price to pick up if it isn't driveable. If you do the labor to remove all of the good parts to sell and scrap the rest, your labor cost will put you in the hole for what you could have sold it for scrap price. only thing I would part out would be top and doors as they are easily removable and not worth anything at the scrap yard. Engine/trans/tcase are the only things left that are worth anything and they are nearing worn out.
