Gear shop in Louisville?

Does anyone know a decent shop in or around Louisville, KY that will do gear work? All of the prices that I've checked around here are insane, but I want quality work as well.

Thanks.

While I can't help you about Louisville area, I can tell you that I was quoted 600 dollars for the front and 400 dollars for the rear. Labor only. Here were I live in Florida. I have the gear sets and overhaul kits. He has done gears for me in the past. He is a good auto mechanic.

You have a 4 Wheel Parts opening soon. Can you wait?

They usually run installed gear specials at a good price (like $1300 or so). I had my regear done in my local store and they did a great job.

I will say the Raleigh store is well established and has little to no turnover in both the shop and the sales floor so that can make a difference in the service one will get.

Might be worth calling Scott at Sunfire Off-road in Sunman, IN (near Cincinnati). (812) 623-3473

He's not done gears for me, but I use him for other things and trust his shop. He builds anything up to KOH/Ultra4 vechiles as an FYI.
