So you have never and will never drive anything other than a Jeep?

I love my Jeep but I also own a Honda and like driving my Father's Corvette on occasion. Does that make me a traitor?

94 YJ w/ stuff. All the work/money I put into it, and the comment I get most is my $20 mod: "Hand throttle?!? That's awesome."

Ford hasn't taken any bailout money recently, and aren't going through bankruptcy as we speak either. If Jeep was forced to be divested to someone else, I would choose Ford over Fiat.

I can't imagine what you'd say if you saw the H3T ad's that were on here last month.

Yeah but Ford did take a bunch of "restructuring" money a few years back. Thats why they didn't need any money now.

True, but the amount was a drop in the bucket compared to what Chrysler and GM have burned through and begged for more in recent months.

Daimler happened. They took all of the money.

Yeah, remember the joke about how you pronounce Daimler-Chrysler. It's pronounced "Daimler". The "Chrysler" is silent. Okay, not that funny, but Chrysler was profitable several years ago, until Daimler got a ahold of them. I hope Fiat does a better job with them.

Exactly. What they should REALLY do is bring back Iacocca.

Three years ago there was a real estate boom, money was flowing, unemployment was low.

None of this stuff was Chrysler's fault.

There's a Ford dealer in Charlotte advertising an extra $1000 off of a new Ford if you trade in a Chrysler corp vehicle. They seem to be going after Chrysler, since Chrysler is on life-support right now. Good business strategy, but I hate it for the Jeep brand.
