first they came for...

Not sure where to post this, but it could be a substantial threat to a lot of us in other areas (crazy toxic ideas spread like plague from CA into the rest of us )

Anyone here in Sacramento?

Sometimes you'd see something like this in a small area (like a HOA) but never a county wide (including farms). Are they going to demand Autozone get ID and report addresses of customers*?

* This kind of stuff already happens in other settings. I know of someone who got in trouble for an 'unlicensed' indoor cat after taking it to the vet for shots

I've seen that discussed around a few sites as well.
Here's a line that bothers me, though.
"2. Conducted on vehicles registered to persons, not currently residing on the lot or parcel;"
That seems to say that your friend, that came over to help you move the piano from one room to another, that comes out and discovers a flat on his car, is forbidden to swap it out for the spare, because he doesn't live at that residence.
That's some kinda horse-hockey, isn't it?

Cali is full of nut jobs, stupid ideas and laws. Close your garage door and don't notify the cops when working on your vehicle, if you're scared.

I walk my unlicensed "dog" in public and nobody has ever bothered me about it.

My son and daughter-in-law bought a California house last year that had an 8x8 unpremitted shed in the back yard. The shed had to be demolished to pass building inspections, loan approvals, etc.

We decided to take this, and other required work, on ourselves for consideration from the seller. I made a trip out to help with this and other chores.

Now, the shed was never permitted, but we had to submit a plan and get and pay for a permit to demo the shed.

I am multi-talented, I can talk and piss you off at the same time.
