So I have a 430 right now in my ‘15 Willys. I want to get the navigation option, so I’ve been looking into the 430N on eBay. Does anybody have it currently and how’s the quality of the navigation? I was looking at aftermarket units but I really want the plug and play and aftermarket look. Anybody have any insight on the 430N and if I would need any additional parts for the switch?

Don't do it. The maps are sub-par to start with, then they charge an arm and a leg for map updates.
Find an aftermarket radio that works well with your phone (Android or Apple) and use a real navigation app.

So I take it you have the 430N? The major problem I’m finding with aftermarkets is that the steering wheel controls don’t carry over well, and there’s many that don’t have nav by itself. I use a mounted GPS and I like to have it on all the time when I’m driving. I want to try something that puts the maps in the background of day to day function without having to initiate it

I had the 430N in a previous Challenger I had and I was extremely unimpressed with it. It was laggy at best (compared to basic google maps on my Android phone). The maps were never up to date, and when they did bother to update them they charged a couple hundred dollars for outdated data. The interface was also difficult to use, inputting addresses was far more complicated than it needs to be and navigating the navigation software feels clunky and unintuitive.
I hated it.

I have the 430N in my 10A. The interface is like a Tom-Tom if you remember those. It is okay at best. Like all mapping apps that rely on static maps the data becomes stale. If you have a newer phone you can just use your phone and waze. I use this about 90% of the time. I’ll admit to sometimes using the 430N and it has worked for me.

I have done full replacements in other vehicles and the interface with the oem steering wheel controls, along with loss of factory mic is always a little disappointing. This is why I just use my phone now, and stream music and waze.
