Could someone please tell me what a good price for this Rubicon would be?

Hey guys,

Question for you about a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2-Door, that I've been looking at...what's it's MSRP??

* First of all, I'm in Canada (for what that's worth)
* Automatic transmission ($1400)
* Dual Top Group ($2075)
* Trailer Tow Group ($475)
* Connectivity Group ($495)
* Sirius Satellite ($295)
* Leather trim Bucket Seats ($995)
* Remote Start ($375)
* A/C with Auto-Temp Control ($175)
* Media Centre 430N ($1200)

I guess basically I just need to know the MSRP for the vehicle itself, in Canada, as I have all the other figures.

Let me know, guys! Much appreciated!

About $37,000 USD.

I built it on Jeep.com. Here's the link. http://www.jeep.com/hostc/bmo/CUJ201...2TR/summary.do

You paid 36k for a 2 door sport? I'm very curious as to how. Destination fee is included on the Jeep website and the fees are only a few hundred bucks and taxes only 2-3k max depending on your location. I guess maybe with every single option availiable you could get close, but even then I am surprised you got it that high.

We paid for the012 2door rubi, auto ,hard top, power group, tow(tow is one thing that is real not worth it just a bolt on hitch and wires, they say it has extra program too for stability?) 33.5K US that was just the Jeep with no tax&fees ect.

With the auto it gets the 3:73 besure if you get this to get the 4:10's when i ordered it they did not charge me the extra for the gear change. I have heard others say it cost 50$. If they want 50$ it worth it. makes going to 35"s painless later. with stock tires it will be a bit over geared but that wont hurt, bit less mpg on the freeways.

Thanks. I wonder how much I should add on for CANADIAN though...it's not like it's a simple exchange rate.

By the way, I get $38,600 on the Canadian site...but I wasn't sure that was necessarily the right answer.

So, how much under MSRP is considered a fair deal?

I was trying to make a deal in NJ this week on a 2012 4dr Rubi, the sticker was 39545, the best price they would do was 38350. They were also shorting me on my trade in. I walked away from the deal. True price target price was 37150 for the jeep, i felt like i was not getting a fair deal between my trade and the new jeep.

trade was na 09 GMC Sierra with 47k on the clock.

A new Jeep will not be on a lot at MSRP. Expect it to be down a couple thousand dollars or so, then with tax/title/license/doc...etc, it should add up to close to MSRP.

I've never bought a new car (obviously) but I have yet to see a car on a lot for MSRP.

really.... a rubi below MSRP, more like most will mark it up OVER MSRP, like I said we dont move on price take it or dont, dealers dont get many of them usually, and someone will buy them.... certain vehicles dont get off MSRP... this is one,

you want a 200, or Ram, I will discount those all day.... Rubis nope...

Well I'm just speaking from my experience, which at 16, isn't much. Dealers vary between prices and it's too hard to tell what a dealer will sell a Rubi for, all the way in Canada.

I know some dealers will mark it down and others won't. Just too many variables.

not many will mark down a rubi..... like I said they get limited numbers of them, yes the more they sell the more they get from Jeep, but most wont budge on a price of a Rubi, any other jeep THEP they will, a truck you bet, you talking about a speciality vehicle really, its like the caddy CTS-V... something along thiose lines, you either wnat it and need it or you done, if you dont a 25 grand sport modle works....

the V has 556 hp, most dont need it some want it, so they pay a premium for it, if you dont wnat to spend the $$ buy a lesser model and build it...

me I woldnt buy one new, I would buy a couple year old one and i sell them new, but even used they hold their value very very well
