Can anyone identify this windshield channel?

New Jeep owner....

From what I can gather, not all channels are the same, and interchangeable with all soft tops? I've seen install instruction diagrams from some companies where the channel is flat, and/or mounted on the outside of the windshield.

Anyhow, the Jeep I recently bought has a channel installed - drilled, and mounted inside the windshield. The channel itself is ROUND.

Pic attached. Does anyone have an idea where this one came from, and what will fit in it?

Thanks!

Anyone?

I want to run a bikini top but I have no idea what brands will work with a round channel like the one I have in the pic above!

thanks,

A better pic will help out. I'm not sure what to even look at here.

Thanks guys! I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow.

But essentially, this is a two-piece channel (meaning there is one section for the drivers side, and one for the passenger side, but they meet flush in the middle) , screwed into the *inside* top of the windshield frame.

The channel itself, where the bead of a bikini top slides in, is ROUND. I've seen others that are FLAT.

I am kind of surprised that it's not just common knowledge that a "round" channel generally fits certain company tops.

But this is my first Jeep (recently purchased) so don't know the right questions to ask!

thanks!

That's it! They call it the "C channel", and it looks like I can use their strapless bikini top with that channel, which is EXACTLY what I wanted!

thanks Bobsled!!!

Seems more personal preference to me. I prefer the non drill in channel.... Glad you found the answer to your question OP.
