potential YJ Purchase

I have been on the hunt for a YJ for a while. my requirements are near stock or minimal modifications. Hard Top Ideally because they are a bit of a pain to find from time to time and hard doors as well. I also would prefer minimal rust. A few spots here and there are understandable especially for the year range the YJ's are but i dont want major work. Drive train- i would prefer a 4.0 and AX-15 but it is not a deal breaker because i can always do a swap down the road.

The details are as follows:

Always wanted a Jeep but due to health issues I can't set this one up the way I want to. Has a brand new exhaust system brand new gas tank battery is 2 years old has five tires one needs to be replaced so it would have to be towed. Needs Minor work here and there, I could part it out I priced all the parts on it but I would rather offer it for sale for someone to enjoy. Have title in hand

1990 YJ
2.5" with AX5
Hard Top w/ Hard doors
Interior appears to be complete.

I have talked her down to $800. I havent looked at it yet as I am about an hour and half away from the Jeep. I am sure there are more issues than stated but i do know that it needs a distributor.

I cant post pictures yet. but it appears to be in decent shape. Any Thoughts?

FAILED Purchase Attempt

So i went at looked at the following Jeep.

https://us.letgo.com/en/i/jeep-wrang...d-a6ca2cd1c495

Well it was not as advertised and i had been talking with this lady for over 2 weeks trying to secure a time to pick up the jeep. The Jeep was originally listed for $1450 and then it was dropped to $950 last week. The things that drew me in was the price, Hard top and Hard doors. I knew worst case scenario I would sell the hard top and doors and make up for my time and expenses. She had told me the distrubor was bad, no biggie and that one tire needed to be fixed. I asked if she had a spare and she said yes and that it was good. We had discussed about the price and agreed on $825 but i knew i might I coordinated with my buddy to use his car trailer and got everything ready. Sunday morning i load up the girlfriend and kids and start our 1hr 30min journey. About 5 minutes out the seller notifies me that she didnt get the title notarized. It is the one thing i asked for but she didnt do. I knew a notary that would help me though so i said it was okay. I show up and the first thing i notice is that there is NO HARD TOP. I ask the seller and she said a tree landed on it 2 days before and she had been cleaning it up and forgot to notify me. Well the hardtop was a big reason i showed up and i did a quick look and the jeep was a bit rougher than the pictures and it looked like the top had been off longer than 2 days. I told the seller i was leaving and loaded everyone back in the truck and drove off. Well before i left the neighborhood the seller contacted me and asked if i would do $700, no i told her no $500 is the most i would pay. She finally agreed to that price. I went and fed my kids then returned to get the jeep. I start preparing to change the tire and the spare is flat too. so then i asked the seller's daughter and my girlfriend to help me push the jeep so i can start getting it to turn around. well we pushed and no luck. i strapped it to the trailer and pulled and noticed the front passenger wheel is locked and just dragging. i set the jack, start loosening the lug nuts and one is stripped. as i go through my tools the daughter tells us her mom sold the hard top a month ago. My eyes shot wide open and i told my girlfriend we are done and i started cleaning up my tools and straps. I left the jeep in the middle of the driveway and drove off.

I have no issue doing work to get a jeep or any vehicle on a trailer. especially for $500. the frame itself was decent shape and the body was not terrible. It is the 2.5L but i was okay with all of that. Its when i found out that the hard top was sold instead of damaged that i knew i was done. I know for furture i need to bring more tools, WD-40/PB Blaster, and 4 tires/rims that hold air and jacks and jack stands. It would have made for a much better attempt and getting the jeep. If it wasnt 1hr 30+min away then I would have just told them id come back later but the seller handled it poorly and i do not want to deal with that. I did report her ad on Letgo but she also blocked me because i guess she thought i flaked out.

I advice is to make sure you get as much information and show up and prepared as possible to pick up a vehicle. I do almost always having a trailer or dolly to tow it just so you know you can get it home. What is everyone's thoughts on this situation?
