Need help deciding! 2014 JGC Limited (HEMI)

Hey guys,

Very new member, and hope to be new owner soon!

I have no Jeep experience, at all. But I ADORE the grand cherokees. I am looking at buying a 2014 Limited w/ 5.7

The Jeep drives great. Plenty of power, smooth shifts, even in sport mode. My ONLY drawback is the 107k miles. . . Is this something I should worry about?

The carfax is vague with service records, so not sure if every service shop reported...

Any feedback is GREATLY appreciated!

The main issue with the Hemi that I know of is the crappy water pump Chrysler installs in them. 107K wouldn't bother me, it's a little over 20K a year. It's more than average but not overly so.

Ok, awesome. And a water pump isn’t a “huge” expense usually, right?

I do know That the previous owner works at a dealership I’m buying it from, and I was told that her previous job was commuting like 100 miles a day. I don’t know if the old rule thumb still exist, but highway miles make me feel better than non-highway.

Not really. The aftermarket water pumps are better. The Mopar ones are constantly on back order due to the recall. I would check to see if this recall was done to the one you are looking at.
