Need advice on 97 zj

So I have a possible opportunity of obtaining a 97 zj with 220k miles with factory everything, 4.0 4x4 for free. I only want it To take off-road and just have fun in, My question is do you think it’ll be worth dropping money in it for a lift and tires? Also I heard of the front to rear swap but can’t find exact details on what I need, if someone can provide exactly what I need that’ll be great to.

If you can get it for free, and it is drivable, you have nothing to lose other than title transfer/registration cost, and minimum insurance.

I'd say, go for it, but take it slow, see what you have first before making any mods. If you have to spend money to get/keep it going, plus money on wanted mods, it can turn into a deep money pit.

I've never heard of a front to rear swap. If you're referring to axles, doesn't make sense to me. Different axles, different strengths, etc.

I am multi-talented, I can talk and piss you off at the same time.
