I Need Some Used Jeep Info

I am looking into purchasing a 1998 Jeep Wrangler w/68000 miles. It drives pretty good, and is in good cosmetic shape. It has the 2.5L 4 engine. I noticed after driving it, that the oil pressure seemed pretty low at idle (under 20 psi on the guage), but was over 40 while driving. What should the oil pressure be at idle for this engine? It's not leaking or burning any oil that I could see. A second thing I noticed was transmission fluid stains on the skid plate. It's apparent that either the Auto trans is leaking or the transfer case is leaking. Are the seals on these two part easy to change out? Any advice and info would be appreciated

The oil pressure reading is usually low at idle on most Jeeps and alot of other cars. It probably has perfect pressure.

A good rule of thumb, a gas engine needs around 10psi for every 1000 rpm.

Its fine.

Thanks for the info! After reading a few posts about Jeep oil pressure, I think the motor is fine.
