Grand Cherokee question

Hi everyone. I’ve never owned a Jeep before, and my last two vehicles have been leased. I’m not knowledgable with cars to say the least. But I am interested in purchasing a grand Cherokee. I’m looking at the 2015 and 2016 overlands. The one I really like costs 20k and has 80,000 miles on it. How do these cars age would I have to worry about costly fixes popping up? Should I look into purchasing an extended warranty? Any information on used grand Cherokees would be great. Thanks!

I've been buying and owning Grand Cherokee's since 1994. Check out the sticky on buying a used WK2: https://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f309...d-wk2-4376453/
And I'd suggest research research. The Overland is a great package and one of my favs. My only dislike would be the quadralift suspension and I have it in my 19 trailhawk but I also bought the maximum care extended warranty. I prefer the simplicity of traditional springs

I actually like the quadralift suspension but our Grand is pretty much a pavement princess with trips to the beach and an occasional forest service road.

However, because it's expensive to fix, I too, opted for the lifetime MaxCare plan.

I also opted for Maxcare, but if you didnít want to go that route (although, I HIGHLY recommend it), you could just replace the air suspension with aftermarket air springs or convert to the conventional spring setup.
