1970's Jeep with LS engine.

I am looking into getting a jeep finally and have come across a 1978 with a corvette engine in it at a neighbors house. Jokingly I told him how I wanted a jeep and he said to make him an offer, but I don't know what one should be with the engine swap. Does anyone know what price range I should offer in for a clean, non-rusty jeep with a corvette engine.

Somewhere between $10 and $25,000.
Not being able to actually see the Jeep, what kind of shape it really in, what kind of conversion was done and how well it was done, there is no way on earth to estimate a value.
At least get some pictures of it, including the undercarriage and frame and especially the engine compartment, to show what's been done.

Is the rig equipped with suitable axles to handle that horsepower? If not you could be spending upwards of $10k to install properly setup axles.
